How to Solve Faulty Water Meter Problem

Can you turn off your water meter?

It’s important to check your water and gas meter’s condition regularly. In this video, a client had an excessive water meter and we found out that they had a faulty water meter that wouldn’t turn off.

Having an excess water pressure could be one of the signs that your water meter might be faulty. We have done an exclusive video on the signs of excessive water pressure that you can check out. 

If you have other faults, such as:

  • Your meter is leaking
  • You can’t shut off your water
  • The glass on the meter is difficult to read or frosted
  • Obscured and unreadable dial
  • Not registering or turning
  • Noisy meter
  • Meter has been run over
  • Meter has been damaged during other gardening or maintenance work

You can contact Water Corporation to report it. After that, they will arrange for a crew member to come to your property to inspect and repair your meter and/or service.
