Do You Have High Water Pressure? You Need to Know

Have you got a Pressure Limiting Valve?

Does your house have a high water pressure? Make sure you have a Pressure Limiting Valve (PLV) on your water meter.

This video is a reminder about the importance of making sure everything in your house is up to code.

What’s the standard?

It’s the recommended Australian standard of 500 kPa. In this video, our client’s pressure was 900 kPa, which was way over. What to do if this is the case for your house? All you need is Pressure Limiting Valve installed on the water meter.

What does it do?

It limits the pressure so it won’t go over 500. So the house is safe.

What happens if you have a high pressure?

And how do we know? Well, worry not. We have made another video especially for you on how to know the signs of excessive water pressure, where we also explain what it does to your house.

If you live in or near the Shire of Kalamunda, it’s even more important for you to look out for this, because the pressure up the hills is even greater. Make sure you have a PLV installed.

If you do have it, make sure it’s working.
